Turkey's first Tourism Research Institute was established within Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University by a Council of Ministers decision published in the Official Gazette dated May 25, 2018, and numbered 30431. The Tourism Research Institute will offer two doctoral programmes in the 2020-2021 academic year: Tourism Management and Gastronomy and Culinary Arts. I have taught on two doctoral programmes, in the Department of Tourism Management and the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, and three thesis-based master's programmes, in the Departments of Tourism Management, Tourism Guiding, and Gastronomy and Culinary Arts. Furthermore, the Council of Higher Education's decision on 09/07/2020 has led to the establishment of a thesis-based master's programme in the Department of Religious Tourism, which is now operational within the Tourism Research Institute.
